The Hunts Community Cancer Network (HCCN) charity has unveiled its brand new look ahead of a series of new events.

The unveil comes after the group decided that their logo needed to "be strong, represent who they are, and help in their mission to attract a larger demographic".

HCCN were put in contact with a St Neots-based company, Velocity Design and Marketing, who wanted to help free of charge.

They put together a new logo which is "friendly" and "has an emphasis that at HCCN you are seen as you".

Amy, the lead designer on the new logo, said: "There is a slight gradient in the logo, from left to right, which represents the journey a patient will undertake through their illness."

With their new look, HCCN has decided to celebrate their big steps forward by launching a new community event.

Throughout the month of May, the charity is asking people to host their very own HCCN Big Afternoon Tea.

HCCN have put together a full list of resources for people to host their own parties, including posters, social media pictures, bunting and games.

The charity themselves will be hosting a Big Afternoon Tea at the Buckden Towers Walled Garden on Sunday, May 12, from 3.30pm-6pm.

There will be a ukulele band playing throughout the afternoon to relax all of the attendees.

Tickets are now on sale on the HCCN website, and 100 per cent of the profits will go towards the charity's work.

HCCN works to deliver support to cancer patients closer to their home whilst reducing the cost to the NHS.

They provide no cost, regular activities that promote healthy eating and mental wellbeing, and physical exercise.

There are over 10,000 people in Huntingdonshire living with cancer, so HCCN aim to help as many of those people as they can.
