A man has been charged after a 12-year-old girl was hit by a car on Warboys High Street on Saturday, February 2 at 4:30pm.
The driver failed to stop after hitting the young child.
Ervin Kovaci, 21, was arrested at his home in Heath Road, Warboys, at about 7.30pm on Saturday evening and has since been charged with failing to stop at the scene of a collision, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, failing to report a collision and production of cannabis.
The victim was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon, where she was treated for her injuries.
Her injuries, although thought to be serious but not life-threatening, have now been deemed as not serious.
Kovaci will appear at Peterborough Magistrates' Court on Monday, February 26.
