An experienced or first-time publican is needed to run one of Huntingdonshire's pubs to enable a £230,000 investment and makeover.
Greene King Pub Partners, the owner of The Royal Oak located in the centre of St Ives, is ready to invest thousands of pounds into the pub to transform it into a modern and premium ale house.
The pub company says it first needs a publican to operate the pub before investing, which it is yet to find.
Lee Jarvis, business development manager for Greene King Pub Partners, said: "We're ready to invest £230,000 to transform The Royal Oak as we really think the pub has a bright future ahead of it as a high-end ale house serving the people of St Ives.
"The only missing piece of the puzzle is we need someone to operate the pub and join us on this journey. If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!"
The Royal Oak is one of the oldest pubs in St Ives, and Greene King says it will retain its "charm and character" whilst bringing the pub in line with modern trends through its investment.
The £230,000 investment would be used to refurbish the pub both inside and outside with new signage, new cosy booth seating, an overhaul of the toilets, revamping of the pub's open fires, and more.

Greene King says it hopes to find a local publican soon to come in and run the pub as a tenant, with them needing to be local as the pub does not have live-in accommodation.
With a new publican found and the pub reopened after the makeover, Greene King hopes as many as ten new jobs could be created in the town, with the pub becoming a thriving community local and successful pub once more.
