Comedienne Ruby Wax will be kicking off her UK tour this week and you can be in with a chance of seeing her live in Cambridge at the end of the month.

Her new show entitled, Sane New World: Taming the Mind, is at the Cambridge Junction on May 30 and 31 and The Hunts Post has two pairs of tickets to give away – one pair for each performance.

The show, based on Ruby’s Number One Sunday Times bestselling book of the same name, will take the audience on a journey to understand why we sabotage our sanity, how our brains work and how we can rewire our thinking.

Using her signature humour, she has adapted her book into a thought-provoking comedy show, providing her take on how to survive the 21st century using knowledge from her recent Master’s Degree in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy at Oxford University.

The show is aimed at making people laugh, but Ruby also wants people to learn something and uses humour to engage her audience about serious issues.

She has just learned that she is to be awarded an OBE for her services to mental health in the Honorary British Awards to Foreigh Nationals. The comedienne has campaigned to create awareness about mental health issues. She became a patron for the British Neuroscience Association and brought mental health issues to the foreground in Parliament through her work at the Home Office and Downing Street to raise money for neuroscience research. Ruby became an ambassador for Mind and SANE and has held open sessions for sufferers and set up dedicated social networking communities for mental health.

To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets, just answer this question. In which American state was Ruby Wax born? Deadline for entries is May 20. Please include a daytime telephone number and mark your entry ‘Ruby Wax Comp’. Send to competitions@archant.co.uk or The Hunts Post, 30 High Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3TB.
