Fancy winning a family ticket to the Autumn Food & Country Fair in Peterborough next month – and you could win our VIP first prize ticket which includes entry to a Paul Hollywood cookery demonstration.

The Hunts Post has 10 pairs of family tickets for a fabulous day out at this well-established country show and one pair of VIP tickets, to see The Great British Bake Off presenter Paul Hollywood in action.

The Autumn Food & Country Fair on Sunday, October 11 at the East of England showground, is the biggest event of its kind in the region – bringing fun, fur, feathers and food together in one amazing indoor and outdoor space.

As well as canine events, trade stalls, food court and appearances throughout the day by Paddington, artisan baker Paul Hollywood will be staging three demonstrations, at 10.30am, 1pm and 3.30pm in the show’s new cookery theatre.

Visitors can enjoy everything from flower arranging and photography to jam making and needlecraft at the huge craft fair, but there is still time to enter the craft competition (see website for details). Classes include baking, card making, photography, flower arranging, preserves and there is a dedicated junior section.

Everyone’s favourite bear, Paddington, will be making a personal appearance at the show and will be meeting young fans.

Celebrity chef and master baker Paul Hollywood will be giving top tips to improve your bakes, demonstrations, inspirational commentary and book signing during his visit.

Peterborough Arena event manager Kerry Buttriss said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming such a high profile celebrity like Paul Hollywood to the event.

“We wanted to introduce some new elements to the fair this year, hence the new name, to widen its appeal to the public and families whilst maintaining many of the features which people love about the event, and come back year after year to enjoy – including the very popular Great Eastern Craft Fair.”

Other attractions include, a bicycle stunt team, Wisbech Shire Horse Show, Companion Dog Show and other canine events, Giant Vegetable Competition, exhibitions of rare breed cattle, sheep, pigs and goats, donkey rides, livestock show and classic car and vintage tractor displays.

World record holders and giant veg growers from around the country will be bringing their monster marrows, super-sized spuds and colossal cabbages to the event.

Growers from all over the country will be showcasing their heavy-weight produce and battling it out to be the longest, largest and heaviest in the Giant Vegetable Competition.
