TOP Roy Orbison tribute act Barry Steele is making his debut appearance at the St Neots Priory Centre, as the iconic Big O.

The Hunts Post has teamed up with Darkest Star Productions to give away two pairs of tickets to the Roy Orbison and Friends “75 Special” with Barry Steele and The Platinum Five.

The concert has been labelled “brilliant” by performing arts newspaper The Stage.

Steele will be accompanied by backing group The Platinum Five, who will also perform their own array of classic hits from the 50s and 60s.

After his death in 1988, it was left to other people to keep the flame of Orbison’s music alive, and with a passion for the music and a vocal ability to match, Steele decided to give it a go and has never looked back.

Not only has he toured extensively across the UK, but the quality of the act has taken him all across Europe, and even as far as New Zealand, as he demonstrates a vocal range to match the master.

This year sees the 75th anniversary of Orbison’s birth, and to celebrate, Steele wanted to put on a show with an upbeat and contemporary slant on the star’s legacy.

The incisive set-list aims to take concert-goers on a musical journey.

From the early years at Sun records in the 50s, right through to the late 1980s, when he was working with the likes of George Harrison and Bono, and formed supergroup The Traveling Wilburys, there is something for everyone.

For a chance to win a pair of tickets just tell us the name of the supergroup that Roy Orbison formed in the 80s with George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan.
