This year’s show is on August 30 and The Hunts Post has two family tickets to give away for the show, on Little Gransden Airfield near St Neots, which is raising money for the Children in Need appeal as well as local charities.

The event, which started in 1992 and has raised £242,000 for charity over the years, will include more than four hours of vintage and aerobatic flying displays, including the Red Arrows, and the star attraction this year is a Vulcan bomber, which at 55-years-old, has reached the end of its flying life and will be retired at the end of the flying seasson.

There will be world-class aerobatic displays, plus the chance to see a Spitfire, the Avro Vulcan XH558 and Lancaster bombers. veteran, vintage and classic cars, lorries, tractors and motorcycles.

There will also be an indoor craft fair and stalls selling pottery, jewellery, tapestry, painted gifts, cards, hand-made toys, quilts and needlework, sweets, plants, bird tables, and nest boxes. The car park opens at 8.30am, and gates open at 10am. Flying displays starts at 1pm.

The Vulcan XH558 served with the RAF between 1960 and 1985 in the bomber, maritime reconnaissance and air-to-air refuelling roles. The RAF operated the XH558 as a display aircraft from 1986 until 1992, when budget cuts forced its retirement.
