The event will take place at the Burgess Hall, in St Ives, from October 19-21 and will include a selection of more than 70 beers and ciders, including a selection of prize winners from CAMRAs Champion Beer of Britain awards at London Olympia in August. Many locally-produced real ales will also be stocked, including some from the increasing number of Cambridgeshire-based brewers now more than 20. The range will include draught milds, bitters, golden ales, stouts, porters, lagers, wheat beers and speciality beers with added ingredients such as raspberries and plums. There will also be gluten-free real ales and a great range of real draught ciders and perries from producers in East Anglia and further afield. The 2017 event will observe the 60th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik-1, the first artificial Earth satellite, launched by the Soviet Union in 1957. In commemoration, Booze on the Ouse will feature beers and ciders with out of this world names. The festival is organised by volunteer members of the consumer group CAMRA as part of its campaigning effort to encourage and promote the availability of high quality real ales from local breweries and pubs. The festivals volunteer real ale bar manager, Paul Moorhouse, said: Festival-goers can expect a great range of beers, served in prime condition a balanced range of real ale styles from across the UK regions, but with a big emphasis on local brewers as usual. Wines, soft drinks and food will be available. Commemorative glasses will include a legal measure of one third of a pint, enabling visitors to sample more of the beers and ciders. CAMRA is campaigning for more pubs to use these smaller legal measures. The festival is supporting the Huntingdon area Wildlife Trust Group and will feature displays, pub games and other fund-raising activities manned by Wildlife Trust volunteers. The festival will be open from October 19-21 from midday until 10.30pm on Thursday and Friday and 10pm on Sunday. Families are welcome until 8pm. No entry or re-admission after 10pm. Admission is £2 and £3 after 5pm on Friday. To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets, answert this question. In what year was the launche of the Sputnik-1.
