Richard Slade, who is the co-founder of creative network Neotists, regularly plays with the popular coloured bricks with his two sons, and has now set up a Lego club to develop youngsters creativity. Mr Slade has run the club since the beginning of the year at St Neots Library, in Priory Lane, which has proven popular since the first event. He said: Last year the library bought a lot of Lego but they werent sure what to do with it and wanted to start a club. I was more than happy to volunteer I enjoy playing with Lego so it just made sense to run the club. In the past few months, the club that runs on a Saturday, has been swamped with children and adults all wanting to get involved in the activities organised by Mr Slade. Children seem to struggle nowadays on what to do with just a big pile of bricks so my activities are always about opening up their imagination, added Mr Slade. In previous sessions the Lego enthusiasts have created their names, put together a vehicle to race and build a maze to race Hex Bugs round.
