The latest announcements for the Newmarket Nights concerts come amid considerable fanfare - powerhouse vocalist Tom Jones and pop stalwarts Boyzone are set to appear.

The Jockey Club Live presents ‘An Evening at the Races’ will be welcoming back both names to make more memories on the green.

The Irish crooners are booked to take to the stage on Friday, July 24, for a set which will be sure to delight fans that have stuck with them since their 1990s heyday.

Meanwhile, Tom Jones will perform his huge repertoire of hits from across the decades including Kiss, Delilah, She’s A Lady and It’s Not Unusual on Friday, August 7.

His career, spanning over half a century, has seen him win many accolades including a BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music and a Silver Clef Award for Lifetime Achievement.

A global star, who received his knighthood from the Queen in 2006, he has amassed 36 top 40 UK hits and has a continued worldwide reputation as one of the great vocalists, earning the nickname ‘The Voice’. Aptly, he has been a regular fixture as a coach on TV singing contest The Voice since 2012.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to appearing at ‘An Evening At The Races’ this summer. I always have a fantastic time performing to the audiences at the racecourses so it’s my pleasure to be asked to return for another year.”

Having sold over 25 million records worldwide, Boyzone are one of Ireland and the UK’s biggest boybands. Known for hits including Love Me For A Reason, Words, No Matter What and When The Going Gets Tough they have had a total of 18 UK top 10 singles, with six hitting the number one spot.

Recently celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band, they released their sixth studio album From Dublin to Detroit last year, featuring their favourite songs from the Motown era.

The band said: “There’s nothing we like more than an evening at the races so we can’t wait to get back to Newmarket for some great nights of music, racing, the odd flutter and a drink or two.”

Alongside the headlining performances, the action kicks off earlier in the evening with six races - giving fans the chance to see the equine stars race for glory.

Previously, the organisers have announced a Kylie show on June 19, which has already sold out, Madness on June 26 and Kaiser Chiefs on July 31.
