The Jockey Club Live and Newmarket Racecourses have announced that the final slot for this summer’s Newmarket Nights season is Magic of Motown.
Due to the phenomenal success of The Jacksons last year, and through public demand, Newmarket Nights will swing back to music’s golden era to celebrate the timeless classics of Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson and more.
The show, on August 3, will contain 40 back-to-back classic Motown hits, glittering costume changes, dazzling dance moves and outstanding musicianship in what is being billed as an “ explosive concert experience”.
Amy Starkey, regional director (east) of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “We are really excited to be welcoming Magic of Motown to our Newmarket Nights stage. We have listened to our customers and have gone down a slightly different route and this should be a really fun event, with lots of glitter, some classic hits and plenty of dancing.
“The award-winning events are renowned for combining a fun filled evening at the races with a spectacular evening concert in the informal and relaxed open-air setting of the hallowed turf.”
MAGIC OF MOTOWN tickets will be on sale at 8am on Friday 11th May via thejockeyclublive.co.uk, with a presale available to customers at 8am on Thursday 10th May.
Tickets are priced from £22 and are available from: www.newmarket.thejockeyclub.co.uk.
