THE Penguins of Madagascar is a spin-off from the Madagascar films and is a must-see for Pixar fans.
While the main characters Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman are still relaxing in Africa (after the events of Madagascar: Escape to Africa), the four penguins, Skipper (the leader of the group), Kowalski (the smartest of the group), Private (the youngest) and Rico (the craziest), have returned to Central Park Zoo in New York City.
The series follows them as they have to perform various paramilitary-like missions to protect their home in the zoo, which often involves them venturing outside into the ‘real’ world.
They are forced to deal with problems caused, or made worse, by King Julien XIII (a ring-tailed lemur), Maurice (an aye-aye), and Mort (a mouse lemur).
They must stand united and compete against King Julien for the title of supreme leader of the zoo.
