Set in Hollywood as the silent movie era is coming to an end and the ‘talkies’ begin to take over, world-famous silent film star, George Valentin (Best actor Oscar winner Jean Dujardin) finds himself shunned from the business as his on-screen partner, newcomer Peppy Miller (B�r�nice Bejo) sees her star rise when she embraces the new-fangled style.
Beautifully shot in black and white, with an original soundtrack that is almost a character in itself, The Artist re-sets the bar for modern film-making.
