KD Theatre Productions will bring Jack and the Beanstalk to the Commemoration Hall, Huntingdon, for the towns first professional pantomime. In this version, Dame Trott and her sons Jack and the ever so Silly Billy are threatened with eviction if they dont pay the rent. Meanwhile, the land is terrorised by the Giant and his henchman Fleshcreep, who make life nearly impossible for its inhabitants. Opportunity to overthrow the tyrant knocks when the Princess is kidnapped by Fleshcreep, and Jack is given the chance to climb the beanstalk through the clouds, fight the giant and bring the princess to safety. Audiences can expect all the ingredients of a festive family show - live music, lavish costumes and scenery, impressive choreography, and plenty of slapstick comedy. Daniel Bell, producer, said: Having spent a lot of my childhood in Huntingdon, I am delighted to be bringing a brand new professional pantomime to the town, packed with new and old laughs for all the family and a fantastic cast of professional performers. The group was responsible for producing Elys first professional panto last year, with a magical retelling of Cinderella. At the age of 12, the joint managing directors and producers of the company Katherine Hickmott and Daniel Bell staged their first full scale production. Since then, they have put on more than 20 pieces ranging from musicals to pantomimes. This included presenting two musicals at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. With an experienced cast and some West End razzmatazz to boot, it is sure to delight audiences of all ages. The Hunts Post has tickets for a family of four to give away. To stand a chance of winning, just tell us what famous rhyme the giant famously calls out when he senses that a human is nearby.
