The Tiger Who Came to Tea plays at the Cambridge Corn Exchange

The smash-hit West End musical The Tiger Who Came to Tea is playing at the Cambridge Corn exchange and promises entertainment for the whole family.
Packed with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos the tea guzzling tiger is back on the road in this stunning stage adaptation of the classic tale of teatime mayhem.
The show tells the story of a little girl named Sophie who is having tea with her mother in their kitchen when the doorbell rings.
They certainly don’t expect to be joined by a big, stripy tiger who drinks all the tea, eats all the food in the house and drinks everything - even draining the water from the taps - so that Sophie can’t have her bath.
Then he leaves, never to be seen again.
Author Judith Kerr first invented the story after visiting a zoo with her three year old daughter.

The book took a year to write and illustrate before it became one of the best selling children’s books of all time.
