A COMEDY two act play exploring the sadness and madness of family life is coming to Bluntisham.
BaCStage (Bluntisham & Colne Stage Group) present Willy Russell’s Breezeblock Park at Bluntisham Village Hall from Thursday, October 14 to Saturday, October 16 at 7.30pm.
Set on a council estate on Christmas Eve in the1970s, this is the story of three working class couples and their offspring, who see themselves as being a close family.
However, beneath the surface of the Christmas cheer some darker emotions are bubbling away including jealous, petty squabbles and a secret. As the alcohol begins to flow, tongues loosen and a piece of news causes feathers to fly.
From the writer of Blood Brothers and Educating Rita comes a painfully funny yet distinctly moving play.
INFORMATION: Tickets cost 7.50 from Bluntisham Service Station. The show contains adult content. Seating will be in cabaret style and audience members are asked to bring their own refreshments.
