The St Neots Living History Festival will be held on July 14 to celebrate the history of St Neots.

The festival is aimed at educating residents about the town’s history and giving them a taste of what it was like to live in the town hundreds of years ago.

Organised by the St Neots Museum, the event will see a full day of family fun.

The day will start with people dressed as First World War soldiers and land workers, as well as an Edwardian suffragettes and they will tell visitors what it was like to live in St Neots at that time.

There will also be re-enactments of periods in history as well as traditional children’s games.

Roman style food will be available to taste and the Heartsease dance group and other groups will also perform on the day.

The festival, which is free, will be held on St Neots Market Square on July 14, from 11am until 4pm.
