Paxton Pits is currently home to rare species of birds from as far away as the frozen north of Siberia and Iceland.

The Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve are holding a presentation followed by a guided walk so the public can get a better understanding of the birds.

The event, which is free, begins at 10am on January 29 and people are advised to dress in warm clothes and sensible footwear.
