The Hillings residential home in Eaton Socon is hosting its annual summer party on Saturday between 2pm-4:30pm.
Staff at the home, in Grenville Way, have invited family and the local community to come along and enjoy the gardens and a range of traditional games and activities.
The afternoon will include a raffle and tombola, with prizes donated by friends and relatives of the home’s residents, as well as businesses in the local community. Games such as ‘guess the number of balloons in the car’ will be held – the closest guess will win a £30 high street voucher. There is also a ‘guess the weight of the cake’ contest – the person with the closest guess gets to take the cake home. A range of refreshments will also be available to buy.
Visitors will also be able to see the results of the residents’ sunflower growing contest – residents planted their seeds earlier in the spring. All money raised on the day will go towards the resident’s amenity fund, which is used towards outings and activities.
