Scott Matthews will perform at the Portland Arms in Cambridge on March 9 to help promote his new album Home Part 2.
Inspired by kitchen sink dramas, this new work provides a strong link to his humble, working class life and across his career Matthews has been mixing those influences with folk, rock and blues to great effect and critical acclaim.
His first single, Elusive, won him an Ivor Novello Award and he has subsequently toured around the world with Bert Jansch, Foo Fighters and Rufus Wainwright among others. Returning to his musical roots with Home Part 2 he has created an album that pulls together the familiarity of his previous works with some new, different sounds.
Tickets are £15.40 from www.wegottickets.com. Doors open at 7pm.
