Saw Doctors lead singer Davy Carton has recovered from a throat operation and the band has rescheduled its 2016 winter tour, which includes a date at the Cambridge Junction.

The band had to cancel a tour last autumn after learning that Carton would need to undergo surgery. They will perform at the Cambridge venue on April 24. “I’m looking forward to getting back on the road again with The Saw Doctors in April to play all the rescheduled concerts from last year, said Carton.

Tickets purchased for all the UK shows will be valid for the respective rescheduled gigs in April and in early June 2017.

Hailing from the West of Ireland, The Saw Doctors are hell-bent on celebrating, observing, recording and sometimes poking fun at their own locality, accent, and idiomatic use of language whilst dressing their songs up in their favourite sounds and styles from their years of musical fandom.

The band will debut new songs from their recently recorded studio album ‘Uber Value’ as well as playing all their Irish No. 1 hits including ‘N17’, ‘I Useta Lover’, and ‘To Win Just Once’, which the bands songwriters Leo Moran and Davy Carton have just licensed to the Wisconsin State Lottery in the US for a TV ad campaign.

The performance is rescheduled from December 11, 2016 and tickets for that date remain valid. If you have any queries or would like to find out about ticket availability, contact the box office on 01223 511511. The band will be supported by Noelie McDonnell.
