The 26-year-old was charged in April, 2013 with running a high-stakes poker game that originated out of the Viper Room, in Los Angeles, and attracted wealthy individuals, sports figures and Hollywood celebrities. She was cleared of many charges and sentenced in 2014 to one year of probation, a $1,000 fine and 200 hours of community service. The film is an adaptation of her book, Mollys Game, and stars Jessica Chastain and is directed by Aaron Sorkin.
