Ramsey’s musical tribute to dedicated fundraiser
A HOST of musical talents will be joining together to perform a charity concert in Ramsey this weekend in memory of a dedicated fundraiser who died of cancer.
A HOST of musical talents will be joining together to perform a charity concert in Ramsey this weekend in memory of a dedicated fundraiser who died of cancer.
The concert is being held at Abbey College on Saturday (July 17) featuring Ramsey Choral Society and director of music William Missin, Saxahollic, The Alan Norris Big Band and the Abbey Flute Group.
There will also be performances by sopranos Louise Birth and Hannah Reed, tenor Julian Ransome and jazz pianist Greg Chapman.
Proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Gill Rule who was born in Warboys and who died of cancer last month, aged 72.
Mrs Rule, chairman of the Ramsey �Macmillan Events Group, raised thousands of pounds each year for Macmillan Cancer Support.
A mother of three daughters and grandmother of six she was diagnosed with cancer five years ago.
