The Harmonia African Drummers are looking for new members to join them.

The community drum group meets at Jubilee Park in Huntingdon on Thursday evenings in term-time, from 7pm to 7.45pm. Members learn to play the djundjun (bass drums) as well as the djembe, creating vibrant music with exciting rhythmic patterns. The group is open to anyone aged from eight upwards and the group currently has members from primary school age to pensioners.

“It is an ideal club for families as mums and dads can take part on an even footing with their children,” said Kirsty Body.

“There is no music reading, and no experience required. All the drums are provided, and anyone is welcome to come and have a go with a free first session.”

INFO: The spring term rehearsals start on January 7. To book in for a free trial session, contact Kirsty Body on 07715 556589/01480 437618 or email: mail@harmoniamusic.com.
