The last two airworthy Lancaster bombers will take to the skies for an aviation extravaganza.

There will be world-class aerobatic displays from pilot Mark Jefferies, plus the chance to see a Spitfire, the North American Aviation P-51D Mustang, Avro Vulcan XH558, and much more.

As the name suggests, Little Gransden Air and Car Show will also feature veteran, vintage or classic cars, lorries, tractors, and motorcycles.

There will also be an indoor craft fair in one of the hangars on the site, at Little Gransden Airfield, which will include stalls selling children’s knitwear, pottery, jewellery and brooches, tapestry, painted gifts, cards, hand-made toys, quilts and needlework, sweets, plants, bird tables, and nest boxes.

The Huntingdon Big Band will perform throughout the event, on Sunday, August 24, and there will be a break in the activities for a brief memorial service. After the displays, a hangar party will then kick off at 7pm.

Supporting the BBC Children In Need Appeal and local charities, the show will include over four hours of displays and amusements.

Since the first event in 1992, it has raised more than £165,000 for charity. Last year, the team donated £25,000 to Children in Need.

The show promises to be a fun day out for all the family, with the chance to see iconic aeroplanes and vehicles.
