The 25-year-old double world champion paratriathlete and six-time European champion completed her second dance with her partner, professional dancer AJ Pritchard.They performed the Charleston to New Rules by Scott Bradlees Postmodern Jukebox. Lauren was given a score of five by judges Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood, and a six by Bruno Tonioli, placing her eighth on the leader board of 15 contestants. However, Lauren avoided becoming the first star eliminated, with Susannah Constantine dropping out. The athlete was given all sixes from all the judges last week after dancing the waltz to Im Kissing You by Desree. The athlete was 13th celebrity to sign up for the show, alongside TV personality Katie Piper, cricketer Graeme Swann and ex-Blue singer Lee Ryan. The star, who was born without a complete right arm, won a silver medal at the Rio 2016 games in the paratriathlon. She has competed in three Paralympics, in both swimming and the paratriathlon. She competed at both the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing and the 2012 Paralympics in London as a swimmer. Strictly Come Dancing will return on Saturday where the celebrities will compete for top place on the leader board.
