The Kimbolton Melodramatics theatre company is performing Robin Hood at The Mandeville Hall, from February 27 to March 3.

The production is the group’s 28th and tells the classic story of the outlaw who lives in Sherwood Forest with his merry men who steal from the rich to give to the poor.

Robin is madly in love with Maid Marion and vice versa, but neither will acknowledge it. King Richard is away fighting abroad and Prince John wants to take his crown and become king. Robin and his merry men are trying to prevent that happening, as Prince John is an evil wicked character, aided by the somewhat stupid Sheriff of Nottingham, they hatch a plan to rid the forest of Robin Hood.

Will Robin save the day? What will Maid Marion do? All will be revealed in this tale of daring, full of music, laughter and classic pantomime moments.

Melodramatics also supports local charities through raffles, collections and through the years have raised in excess of £33,000 for local charities. “This year we are very pleased to be raising money for Dreamdrops, a local charity supporting Huntingdonshire’s sick children in hospital,” said the group’s producer Marcus Alexanader.
