BRITISH jazz phenomenon Clare Teal is playing for one night only at the Arts Theatre in Cambridge, and The Hunts Post has a pair of tickets to give away to see the show.

Such is the enormity of her talent that the 38-year-old singer, who hails from Kildwick in Yorkshire, made history by signing the biggest ever record deal for a jazz artist with Sony music.

Teal has notched up a 10-album discography including Don’t Speak, which climbed to number one in the British jazz charts and number 24 in the mainstream album charts.

A regular presenter on Radio 2, Teal arrives in Cambridge after a string of festival dates this summer, including Glastonbury.

The UK tour, which lasts until Christmas, will feature tracks from her new album, Hey Ho, which she premiered in April at the legendary Ronnie Scotts club in Soho, London.

Listen out for Noel Coward’s If Love Were You, A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square and Try a Little Tenderness interspersed with more contemporary tunes such as Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol and Why by Annie Lennox.
