Tickets to see James Bay at Thetford Forest in July will go on sale at 9am on Friday (January 29)

The singer is the latest act to announce a date for this year's Forest Live, the summer concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission.

Bay has experienced a phenomenal year since winning the 2015 Critic's Choice Brit Award. His acclaimed debut album Chaos And The Calm continues to ride high in the charts having been one of the best-selling UK albums of last year, featuring the massive platinum-selling single Hold Back The River which has had more than 71 million YouTube views.

Now the success of this formidable singer-songwriter has been acknowledged by the music industry on both sides of the Atlantic with three Grammy Award nominations and four Brit Award nominations including British Breakthrough Act, British Male Solo Artist, British Single for Hold Back The River and Mastercard British Album of The Year for Chaos And The Calm.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to the forest experience to new audiences. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England's forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife. Over Forest Live's 15-year history, money raised has contributed to a wide range of projects, from wildlife conservation to making improvements for visitors. With everything required for a great night out, including full catering and bar facilities, the gigs are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere.

James Bay, plus guests will be at Thetford Forest near Brandon in Suffolk on July 1.
