During the summer months, the producers of American TV series Paranormal Lockdown visited the UK and filmed a 10-part series, with the final episode being filmed at Hinchingbrooke House, in Huntingdon.Filming took place in late July, with the episode shown on channel Quest on November 1. The shows format saw the stars spend 72 hours locked down inside the house, which dates back to the 11th century. It is said to have been built around the site of a Benedictine nunnery. Mark Egerton, author of the book The Haunted History of Huntingdonshire, was contacted by producers and asked if he would assist them with the show due to his extensive knowledge of the building and stories of ghostly goings on. Mark said: Due to my knowledge of both the history and the haunting of Hinchingbrooke I was contacted by the shows executive producer, Rob Saffi, and asked if I would assist them with their research. In fact, Hinchingbrooke House is the largest story in my book and appears on the books front cover.
