More than 400 people turned out to support The Big Draw festival in St Neots on October 10.

The event, which took place at the Riverside Park, was organised by designer Richard Slade, illustrator Andrew Foster and was supported by staff from Huntingdonshire District Council’s countryside services department.

The nationwide initiative takes place across the UK during October and is aimed at encouraging people to take part in creative activities, and this year’s theme was “every picture tells a story”.

Mr Slade, who runs a creative arts group in St Neots called Neotists said: “We were really pleased with the turn out, which was double the numbers we had last year. It was good to see so many people involved.”
