A Songs from the Shows concert – featuring five local choirs – is to take place at The Burgess Hall in St Ives on Sunday, June 28.
The Harmonia Singers (Huntingdon and Coton branches of the Harmonia ladies choirs), Harmonia Youth Singers (aged 6-11 based at Coton Primary School), Pelican Voices (children aged 5-7 from the Pelican School in Cambridge) and the Oakapellas (Oakington Primary School), plus a live band will perform at the event, from 5.30pm till 7pm.
Each choir will be singing their own show pieces plus, there will be some joint songs with all five choirs joining together. Shows featured include Sister Act, West Side Story, Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music and Oliver. Four of the choirs will be conducted by Kirsty Body, with the Oakapellas led by Davina Fisher, and the band is under the direction of Derek Scurll.
