A Godmanchester church has organised a double harvest festival celebration this weekend to celebrate receiving the final donation for its Raise the Roof Appeal.
A Harvest Festival Weekend is being held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at St Mary the Virgin Church in Chadley Lane and will include a cheque presentation from the Godmanchester Community Association’s 800 Club for £1,100 which will see the church reach its £65,000 fund-raising target to repair the north roof.
On Friday night, the Ely Cathedral Boys’ Choir will perform at the church from 7pm and on Saturday there will be a day of activities, from 1pm till 4pm and a harvest supper. The church’s annual Thanks-giving Service is on Sunday at 9.30am.
