It’s all aboard for the East Anglian Model Railway Exhibition at Wood Green Animal Shelter, Godmanchester.

Held indoors at the Britten Arena, the event will feature 37 different model railway layouts from around the country in a variety of gauges.

Visitors will also be able to buy ready to run or 'build your own' items at the show from Saturday, March 14, to Sunday, March 15, which will be attended by more than 20 traders. In addition, there will be the opportunity to learn how to carry out different modelling techniques with advice from demonstrators.

And if you're looking for something to keep the children entertained, they will be able to have a go at operating the Thomas the Tank Engine trains on one of the layouts.

This is the first year that the display will be held at this venue, after outgrowing its former home at Huntingdon Racecourse.

Whether you stop by on Saturday or make it a Mother's Day trip out, there will be plenty for all train enthusiasts to enjoy.

INFORMATION: From 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Entry costs £7 for adults, £4 for children, and £20 for a family of two adults and two children. You can also buy tickets in advance from www.stneotsmrc.com. In addition, a free vintage double decker bus service will run between the venue and Huntingdon Railway Station.
