The group will perform alongside CSD Brass and Prime Brass at Emmanuel United Reformed Church, Cambridge, for the Mind-Blowing Charity Concert on Sunday, April 19. The event aims to redress the balance and boost funds for charities that deal with mental illness, rather than physical ailments. Proceeds will go to Mind, Alzheimers Research UK, The Friends of Fulbourn Hospital and the Community, plus Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. The evening will include wind music with a recital from guest soloist Duncan Wilson, an internationally acclaimed trombonist who has played with many of the best orchestras in the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also maintained his brass band links and was British Open solo trombone champion in 2004 and 2005 whilst playing with the GUS band. Expect an evening of memorable music with a concert which aims to make a difference to sufferers of mental illness. INFORMATION: The concert will start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 from www.ticketsource.co.uk/mindblowing.
