Among the eccentrics at this year’s Cambridge Comedy Festival will be George Egg and his Anarchist DIY Chef show. He combines cooking and comedy to make a three course meal using power tools, office equipment and hair dressing appliances.
The festival will be at Cambridge Junction from Wednesday, July 18 to Saturday, July 21.
The big names include Josh Widdicombe, Milton Jones, Lee Nelson and Henning Wehn.
Rising stars include the next big thing in Scottish comedy Christopher MacArthur-Boyd who is following in the footsteps of Kevin Bridges and New York sensation Sara Barron whose filthy, fun and incisive comedy has shades of Joan Rivers.
Satirical maestro and star of The Mash Report, Geoff Norcott presents an original comedy voice. He has already appeared on Live at the Apollo and writes for Sarah Millican.
If Elvis and horror films are your niche then The Elvis Dead show that reinterpretes cult classic horror movie Evil Dead 2 through the songs of Elvis Presley is a must see.
Appearances from festival stalwarts include Canadian superstar and mischief maker Tom Stade, Ireland’s finest razor sharp political commentator Andrew Maxwell and Radio 4 regular Jo Caulfield.
For children, there is the Comedy Club 4 Kids, magic show SESKA and star of CBBC Class Dismissed, Sam Battersea with the fun show The Greatest Goat Of All Time.
