She may have bid farewell to the Bake Off, but Sue Perkins will be heading to Cambridge in February for a sparkling night of comedy, tell tales, and a user’s guide to Mary Berry.

Best known for her presenting slot with sidekick Mel Giedroyc on the Great British Bake Off, the comedian has delighted audiences since 2010 with her quick wit and humour.

Now, she’s returning to the stage on February 16 for a night based on her best-selling memoir, Spectacles – her first-ever book written following the loss of some of her most treasured childhood keepsakes.

Like her poems about corn on the cob and drawings of wizards.

Sue started her television career though, alongside Mel and the pair quickly gained momentum, winning the Daily Express Best Newcomers award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1993.

After a few years spent writing for French & Saunders, the duo bagged their own lunchtime show – Light Lunch – running from 1997 to 1998 before another one in 2015.

But it was the Great British Bake Off which cemented Sue in the nation’s heart, and since then she’s appeared on the likes of Have I Got News For You, Just a Minute, and The News Quiz.

Sue Perkins Live! in Spectacles will start at 7.30pm and tickets are £26.25 per person.

The show is expected to run for an hour and 45 minutes, and is suitable for anyone over 14-years-old.
