Alan Bennett’s undisputed comedy masterpiece – The History Boys – opens at the Cambridge Arts Theatre on Monday.
Bursting with witty one-liners and thought provoking questions, a vibrant cast brings Bennett’s Oxbridge hopefuls brilliantly to life. In their pursuit of sex, sport and a place at university the boys discover the true meaning of education and give their teachers some lessons of their own.
⋆Since its premiere at the National Theatre in 2004, The History Boys has been made into a hit film and received the 2005 Olivier and 2006 Tony Award for Best New Play. Now on a major UK tour, the cast of Sell A Door Theatre Company’s new production include Steven
Roberts (George Smith in Hollyoaks) and Richard Hope (Poldark), is directed by Kate Saxon (God of Carnage, English Touring Theatre’s The Real Thing) and designed by Libby Watson.
The History Boys runs from July 6-11 and performances are at 7.45pm with matinee performances at 2.30pm on Thursday and Saturday.
