ST IVES BULLS minis took two teams to the Scarborough Festival of Rugby last weekend to test their mettle against sides from Leeds, Sheffield, Rochdale and Edinburgh among many others.
Both the U10s and U12s were missing some regular team members, but put in spirited performances nonetheless.
One player missing was U10s captain Ewan Cameron-White, who was forced to lend vocal support from the sidelines, after he sustained a leg fracture the week before.
The younger team came away with one win and a draw, losing all their other pool matches, but were able to get across the whitewash on five occasions to get some tries on the scoreboard.
The U12s fared much better with their tally of wins, displaying a great mix of pace, aggression and kicking out of hand when required, but it was not enough to get them to the final for their age group.
