A prolific Sawtry Yellow Sox Under 12 player enjoyed a milestone moment last Saturday.
Jake Nicholson, pictured right, completed a century of goals for the team during a Hunts Youth League fixture against Ramsey.
Nicholson struck twice for his team as they were pipped 3-2 in the Division B contest, with his first goal being his 100th for a team he has represented since Under 7 level.
Manager Daniel Pearce presented midfielder Nicholson with a golden boot trophy to make his fine achievement, but the modest hot-shot admitted: “While I may have scored my 100th goal, it is always a team effort.”
