An action-packed summer of football is in store across Hunts with a host of junior tournaments have already scheduled for this area.

St Ives Rangers have a two-day event at the One Leisure Outdoor Centre on May 20/21.

The Saturday features non-competitive, five-a-side sections for Under 7 and Under 8 mixed teams as well as Under 9 and Under 10 girls sides with an entry fee of £25.

There are also seven-a-side events for Under 11 and Under 12 girls’ teams (entry £35) as well as nine-a-side Under 13, Under 14 and Under 15 girls categories (entry also £35).

The remaining mixed events, seven-a-side for Under 9 and Under 10 (both £25), and nine-a-side for Under 11, Under 12 and Under 13 (all £35), take place on the Sunday.

Godmanchester Town are staging their first-ever tournament over the weekend of May 27 and 28.

It features sections for Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 teams on the Saturday, and Under 8, Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14 sides the following day.

The big Godmanchester Rovers Youth Football Club tournament - at Jubilee Park, in Huntingdon - takes centre stage on June 3 and 4.

Under 7, Under 8, Under 9, Under 10 and Under 15 events are on the Saturday, with Under 11, Under 12, Under 13, Under 14 and Under 16 competitions on the Sunday, when there are also Under 11 and Under 13 girls’ sections.

Entry costs £25 per team if booked before April 30, or £30 after that date. They can be made by visiting tournament website www.gryfctournament.co.uk. Closing date is May 19.

The Hunts FA Mini-Soccer and Girls Festival is pencilled in for June 11 at the One Leisure Outdoor Centre in St Ives.

It will have mixed categories from Under 7 through to Under 10 with girls’ sections at Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 levels. Further details to be announced.

Then, on June 24 and 25, another big event will be staged at Jubilee Park - a two-day tournament organised by Huntingdon Rowdies.

They have Under 6, Under 7 and Under 8 events on the Saturday morning followed by Under 9, Under 10 and Under 11s in the afternoon.

Under 12, Under 13 and Under 14 competitions are on the Sunday morning with Under 15, Under 16 and Under 17 age brackets in the afternoon.
