Esther and Tony Cotton, together with Sue Yendsley from the Huntingdon-based BRJ Road Running club, took part in the Lake Vyrnwy half marathon in Wales on Sunday. Running around the lake the flat course took the 1,000-plus runners over the dam at the end of the lake.
Yendsley, recovering from a bout of food poisoning, completed the course in a time of 2:01.15, while Esther Cotton took the prize for the third lady aged over 55 and Tony finished first in the over 65 men's section. The Cottons were raising funds to help the Bridge Debt Advice Centre in St Ives and
thank all who donated to this cause.
