ST NEOTS stumbled at Hertford after having already won promotion. Saints scored within minutes of the start when Abi Bruce took the ball round several players before slotting home. The visitors continued to apply pressure but lacked quality in the final ball and the hosts often caught them on the break, eventually equalising. Their defence was left exposed in the second half and despite strong attacking play the game finished level.

RELEGATED Braintree provided a tough test for Ives initially who finally broke through with a neat Helen Clarke deflection. Scrappy play frustrated the home team before they eventually settled as Emily Crack scored before the interval. Crack scored again the effectively end the game, but the visitors got a consolation goal from a penalty corner. Lexi Palmer added to their tally and Clarke finished the scoring with a fine solo run.

A further goal from Crack put the game beyond Braintree. Braintree kept their heads up and took consolation in a converted penalty corner. contributed to the scoring with a well-worked Ives penalty corner, before Clarke finished things off after a fine solo run.

IPSWICH narrowly won at the Ivo as the hosts made a string of defensive errors in the first half to fall two behind on Sunday. Ives regained composure in the second half but failed to convert chances until a run of penalty corners saw Lexi Palmer fire them ahead. They upped the pace with some slick passing but could not find an equaliser.

A STRONG battle between two top sides ended in neither coming out on top. Deeping took the lead through a penalty corner but Ives fought back and out played them in the first half. The visitors' hard work paid off when Vishara Davies drew them level. They worked numerous opportunities and worked most of the play for the rest of the game but could not find a winner.
