Nene Summer League
ANTHONY Watling was the star performer for Browning Stanjay as the team maintained second position in the Nene Summer League.
Sunday's second round of the league was fished on the upper river sections, with the team match again won by Van Den Eynde, formerly Essex County.
With three section wins, Van Den Eynde is well ahead of the other teams - but there was good news for the Browning Stanjay aggressor team, who finished in a clear second place for the second time, and are now well clear in second in the league.
The team put in a very solid performance with the best points from Watling, who finished second in section, and sixth in the match.
There is another practice match this Sunday before two consecutive match weeks to decide the series.
