Joey and Howard Croft starred on the track with fine performances while Declan and James Rice delivered terrific displays in the field at the event in St Ives. Older sibling Joey Croft led from start to finish in the Under 17 Mens 3000m race to strike gold by more than a minute from his closest challengers. And little brother Howard was not to be out-done as he set a new club record when producing a battling display to win the Under 11 Boys 600m event The nine year-old clocked 1:54.60 for the distance to take close to three-and-a-half seconds off the previous club mark which had stood for 14 years. The Rice brothers sampled their success in the hammer with Declan taking the Under 17 Mens spoils with a big personal best and James taking the honours at Under 15 level. There were 16 winning displays from Hunts AC athletes in all and none were more impressive than that produced by Shannon Flockhart. She stormed into fourth spot in the national rankings for the Under 15 Girls 3000m after registering a time of 10:59.53 in her first-ever race at the distance. Polly Smith was another runner to shine over 3000m as she took silver in the Under 20 Women age bracket. Lizzie Harrison equalled her own club record when winning the Under 11 Girls 80m one of several triumphs for Hunts AC over sprint distances. Two others came from Alice Claridge who sampled success at 100m and 200m while Owen King and George Nicholson also won 100m races. There were plenty more victories in the field as well. George Hamilton and Frannie Chapman both won their shot putt events while Mia Fairbrother-Burton made a winning hammer debut. And there was a hat-trick in the sand pit as Jack Wyles, Adam Taylor and Sandra Acton all won long jump titles. Ryan Boden was the most successful athlete in the third Hunts AC club championship meet. Boden won the 800m, javelin and pole vault in the Under 17 Men category.
