HUNTINGDON driver Des Thresh picked up a pair of class wins at Mallory Park.
Thresh was one of five Class B competitors in the field of 17 for a new event organised by racing channel MotorTV, which featured the race live.
Although not contributing to the 2010 Kumho Tyres BMW championship, the race pitted Thresh against many of the same drivers.
He qualified eighth on the grid, and first in class, for the first of the day's two races which got under way from a rolling start.
He slipped one place in a frantic 10-minute race, ending ninth after being caught by his Class A rivals. He followed it up with 10th in the day's second race for his second class win.
Thresh returns to BMW championship action on the weekend of July 3 and 4 at Croft.
