ST IVES Cycling Club's Rachel Smith took the accolade of being Ladies Individual Champion at the Northants and District Cycling Association annual award ceremony last Sunday.
The championship consists of 10 time trials for both men and women, contested throughout the eastern region on country roads.
Smith's outright victory in the Ladies Individual Championship was not the only club success as Terry Cooke took a worthy second place in the Veterans Individual Championship.
The club's top time triallist of last season, Paul Davis, collected the most awards winning the fastest 25-mile time and second place in both the overall championship and the short distance championship.
St Ives CC have consistently fielded strong teams for the races and was rewarded when the club lifted the best team prize, a much coveted award that the club last won in 2006.
Many of the club's less high profile riders contributed towards the victory, each one scoring points toward the prize.
Members have a brief rest before the season begins in April.
