DAN-TASTIC: Three pupils from Buckden Cof E Primary School were amongst 90 young judo enthusiasts who travelled to Swaversey Regional College to compete in the annual Andrew Bentley Judo Tournament held by the Tokushima Budo Council International.
Seven year-old George Mansfield, pictured bottom left, took a silver medal in the under 25kg group and a bronze medal in the open category.
10 year-old Jamie Pegram, middle, came away with a bronze medal in the under 30kg category.
Seven year-old Marty Pegram, bottom right, took a gold medal in the under 20kg competition.
The awards were presented by the immediate family of Andrew Bentley.
The three boys were accompanied to the event by Sensei John Snaith, top left, and Sensei Joe Goddard, top right, who were impressed with how well their pupils had done.
The boys train every Friday evening in Stageworks at Buckden Towers.
