HUNTINGDON District U13 have enjoyed a successful season, winning five out of their six games.

In a team of strong performers, it has been Buckden's batsman-wicketkeeper Alex Marsh who has distinguished himself, hitting three centuries. An outstanding 160 against Cambridge City was followed by 103 against Peterborough and 112 against Mid Suffolk.

Coach Tom Russell said: "Alex has had an excellent district season. For a 13-year-old to get three hundreds in a season is outstanding."

The team was captained by Adam Newman of Eaton Socon and the pick of the bowlers was Buckden's Michael Clinton, who ended the season with two four-wicket hauls.
