Trampolining: Chandler stands out at Brentwood regional event

GODMANCHESTER based Rotations Trampoline Club enjoyed another successful regional competition at Brentwood on Sunday.
Among the highlights was a second-place finish in the U13 girls’ event for Katie Chandler, making only her second appearance.
Also taking second place in her second outing was Ciara Verdicchio in U9 girls’ H, while Thomas Verdicchio came third in U13 boys’ D grade and fourth placing were enjoyed by Nick and Sophie Beattie
Also jumping and attaining very respectable scores were: Joanna Kerby, Rhianne Chamberlain, Gemma Andrews, Jordan Whitehead, Katie Marson, Lucy Forster, Carys Verdicchio, Niamh Nixon, Amy Jones, Sarah King, Bethany Hurrell, Millie Manton, Hannah Morris, Beckie Martin, Charlotte Pearce and Hannah Crofts.
Club manager Paul Verdicchio said: “The competition bug has definitely caught around the club now.

“Starting with just two entering at the end of last year, we have now just entered 21 over the weekend.
“They all work hard and deserve the places they are attaining. The thing I admire the most is how the club members come together on the day and rally for each other.”
